AFT have completed the install of their ‘new PTFE and Melt Polymer Moulding department” into the WGC site.
2020 kicks off with additional capacity being available, with 2 new moulding presses, and a larger more efficient PTFE sintering oven.
The oven is to a new design, developed with material manufacturers and our in house knowledge which will facilitate a smoother increased airflow during the sintering process. A more consistent heat distribution, more accurate control of temperatures within the oven will allow customers to enjoy enhanced material physical properties, and improved material consistency when tubes are machined.
A larger more energy efficient oven will result in energy savings and assist with meeting our environmental obligations under ISO 14001. Recruitment of new personnel brings additional experience to the team, together with improvements to the production process, and improved layout in the new area.
