ETFE (also known as Tefzel™) is a thermoplastic polymer that when used as a coating offers similar properties to PTFE and other fluoropolymer coatings.
ETFE is highly resistive to chemicals and acids and offers extraordinary advantages, such as increased mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and stiffness, whilst also providing non-stick properties.
This ability to apply at different thicknesses combined with the possibility of applying it onto a cold substrate is one of the main advantages versus other fluoropolymer coatings with similar characteristics.
ETFE is available in powder form and here at Fluorotec, we are industry leaders when it comes to applying such powder coatings.
