Possible Applications
The addition of glass fibre filler to Virgin PEEK dramatically increases its strength at higher temperatures, making it ideal for structural applications that require superior strength or stability at temperatures of about 300°F. This filler also significantly lowers the material's expansion rate.
Critically, VICTREX PEEK can not only withstand high temperatures, but does so in harsh chemical environments which have made it the material of choice for some applications in the oil and gas sector.
Applications include:
Valve seats, aircraft components, wire & cable coatings, engine parts, pump & valve parts, electrical components, industrial applications, fuel cells, ducting, manifolds.
