Delivered and commissioned in June 2023, this non-standard model has already proven to be a game-changer for the company's manufacturing processes.
The decision to adopt the i100 BARTAC S was driven simply by its impressive machine characteristics and its ability to produce a variety of parts in one production. Some of our existing products were previously manufactured through multiple operations. The first operation would be carried out on a standard Mazak Lathe, followed by a 4-axis Mill for the second operation. With the integration of a parts catcher and conveyor, the new machine now efficiently produces these components in a single operation, even running unattended when the current shift ends, offering an ease of operation for us here at AFTFluorotec. This significant improvement in workflow not only frees up capacity on existing machines but also enables us to produce more parts within a single shift, consolidating the production process from two machines to one, which is now more commonly known as "Done In One operations''.
